The areas of practice of the Law Office of Patricia Paul, PLLC are corporate, land use and Federal Indian Law. Upon being admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 2006, Ms. Paul's choice of focus for the practice of law was based on the following.
As an Alaska Native shareholder in the NANA Regional Corporation, Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation and Doyon, Ltd, Ms. Paul gained knowledge in corporate law. While interning for NANA Regional Corporation, in their Anchorage and Kotzebue, Alaska offices in 1998 and 1999, she worked at Middleton and Timme, PC; Perkins Coie; NANA Development Corporation and NANA Regional Corporation. Her focus, as an intern included land use, archaeological resource protection, corporate, human resources, contracts, secured transactions and commercial leases.
Patricia's second choice of law practice is land use and zoning. Excelling at Seattle University School of Law in the study of land use and zoning law, she applied her knowledge at the Tulalip Tribes. During her three years with the Tulalip Tribes, Patricia's first year was as their Community Development Manager. In that capacity, she managed the tribal government's planning department, with a focus on stormwater management, shoreline management, transportation planning, permitting, and the Environmental Protection Protection Agency's National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit application.
Patricia's third focus in the practice of law is Federal Indian Law in tribal governance, jurisdiction and mediation.
